@Distillery SUNDAY: SHK Music and station WUMB are excited to co-host this concert. Kimon Kirk has written songs for Lori McKenna and Aimee Mann and has performed with many wonderful musicians including Aimee, Gaby Moreno, Alejandro Escovedo, and Session Americana. Per McKenna “There’s a million favorite things about Kimon to mention, but top of my list is his way of fusing all things pop, classic rock and folk into his songs and sound.“ Opening the evening will be the Heygoods - a band Kimon was once part of. This Boston based band is made up primarily of the husband-and-wife team of David and Katie Champagne on guitars and mandolin, with a handful of able country players in support.
